During the Spring and Summer time, or when temperatures are greater than 78 degrees, cold packs are also with items sensitive to hot temperatures to help preserve the products while in transit. When expecting a delivery, try to avoid leaving the package outside in the heat, in the mailbox. Even with the cold packs, the hotter temperatures may still cause the products to melt.
Heat Sensitive Products
Some of our all natural products, especially our body butters and creams are sensitive to high temperatures. There are other ingredients included that help to withstand warmer temperatures but to avoid product distortion, care must be given to store in a cool, and dark location.
What do I do if my product melts?
All is not lost, if your product melts. In most cases, simply put in the refrigerator for approximately 15 minutes to reset. The product will likely loose its whipped effect but will still work as intended. For other creams, scrubs, toothpastes etc., you may need to stir the product prior to placing in the refrigerator to ensure the ingredients are properly mixed.
What is the white stuff on my candle?
The whitish color coating that forms on the tops and sides of the candle is called "Frosting". It is a natural byproduct of natural wax and in no way affects the burn ability or fragrance of a candle. It is caused by tiny crystal growth that forms on the top and sides of the wax. It is proof of the use of 100% natural soy wax.
The frosting is more noticeable in colored candles.
